I have an ipv6 tunnel, which I configured in utm and which appears to be operational. The tunnel is a /64 with the server address of 2001:470:a:***::1/64 and the client address 2001:470:a:***::2/64. There is an option to allocate a /48, but I wasn't going to do that unless there was a reason. I'm trying to configure utm so I can use the tunnel. I found a couple of other threads about doing this, but they were for older versions of utm and they were using /48 so I'm not sure exactly how to do this with my configuration.
First, I tried to add the ipv6 address to the internal interface as a /64 and there was an error, saying the address is already in use. If I do not use the above address as a /64, what address should I use? Should I allocate a /48?
Once I get past configuring the interface, I'm not sure what the next step is to configure the dns and dhcp, as there are several places where this info can be entered (e.g., ipv6 prefix advertisement, dns forwarder and dhcp server) and it's not obvious which to use.
I currently have one ipv4 dns server address, which is utm. I do not have another dns server, as this is a home network. The forwarder is set to use the two isp dns server addresses.
The other post recommended adding dns forwarders for google (2X) as well as for he. I'm not sure of the options. Do I select Type Host?
The DHCP server, also has fields for dns and so does the prefix advertisement. Which should I use?
Thanks for your help.
