8.309 DHCP Server

I've been running three DHCP Servers for a few revisions now. DCHP Server 1 has a range between x.x.100-150 with the Clients with static mappings only. DHCP Server 2 has a range between x.x.200-250. Lastly, DHCP Server 3 is completely separate for Wireless Guest Hosts.

I restarted the Firewall a few nights ago, and when it came back up, the two AP10's were inactive. Turns out, after looking at the DHCP server log, both Access Points weren't getting an IP from the DHCP Server. That was easily resolved by assigning them each a Static Mapping within the 100-150 range. Unfortunately, that's sort of where my luck ran out. Wireless hosts seemed to be getting their IP, however, wired hosts were not getting an IP, from the Static Mapping or DHCP Server 1. DHCP Server 2 was very finicky and would give out IPs to some hosts, and not to others. I even went as far as turning off DHCP Server 1, hoping that maybe any conflicts between the two (for whatever reason) would disappear.

I've since restarted the Firewall many times, turned the DHCP Servers on and off, and the result is the same. I'm not really sure what to do. I can't determine if the Firewall is fubar, if this is a hint to upgrade to UTM 9, etc. Any help would be much appreciated.

    If 1 and 2 are on the same interface, I guess I don't see the reason for #1 - or are you assigning different default gateways, DNS servers, etc.?

    I've had two DHCP Servers, one with Clients with static mappings only and another without it for months now, and this is the first problem I'm having. Perhaps it was due to a recent update that finally caused an issue after the last restart of the Firewall? Either way, I've since limited the Firewall to one DHCP Server, however, it is still very finicky. It receives DCHP requests, however, yells about unknown leases. Very few hosts actually are able to get an IP. The speed has reduced to 10% of my normal bandwidth. I'm starting to wonder if the Switch is dying or being extremely intermittent, or if it is the Firewall. [:S]

    I'm ready to test the hardware and most likely do a fresh install of UTM 9. [:(]
