Bonding/Teaming Lan

Hi,

I have to implement a net with the following specs.
LAN with about 70+ clients and a dmz with 2 servers and astaro sry. sophos as the gateway for all of them + all subscriptions except MAIL will be active. 

Does it makes sense or is a there a benefit if I activate bonding on the LAN side? 
I ask in general and implicit for a performance boost to the internal servers (smb, etc.) ?

    As a customer it makes no different how I connect the switches ;-)
    Elegant soundz good, but I don't know why. 
    I had another idea: to place a 8 port gbit switch in front of all 3 switches...
    Each of the 3 switches is connected to the 8 port switch and the 8 port switch is connected to the gw (astaro). 

    What do you think?

    Now I ask in general > What is the common way to realize that? 



    esmirQ, based on what I've seen here and at a customer site, I think your solution is elegant  and should work like you want it to work.  This is similar to VLANs and Link Aggregation.

    Assuming your internet connection is much less than 1gbps, then that probably won't help anything, except maybe speed up DMZ access.

    However, If your switches don't have a gigabit or faster uplink, then you could put the servers on the gigE switch to speed up access to them within the LAN.

    Note of course that the switch is a potential point of failure.
