I have a weird problem regard regarding communication between Sophos UTM 120 and my internet providers router ( ADVA ).
The provider told me to configure VLAN 123 on the UTM's WAN interface which connects directly to the ADVA Router.
I did that and configured the given IP's on that VLAN interface to.
The providers hotline told me, that my UTM's MAC address (WAN) is visible, so the connection is physically available.
But I'm not able to ping the providers default router IP from UTM's webinterface.
To debug that, I configured the VLAN and IP on my notebooks NIC and connected it to das providers router. I was able to access the internet with my notebook with these configuration.
Next step was to configure VLAN and providers Router IP on my notebooks NIC and connected it directly to the UTM's WAN Interface, I was able to ping the UTMs WAN IP address. I tried that with a different UTM, with different UTM ports and with firmware 9.0 and 9.1beta. Every time the same situation , IP communication between UTM and ADVA Router was not possible.
Does anybody have an idea about that? What else can I check?
