This isn't really a problem with ASG/UTM as such; I just want to know if I'm missing something really obvious and wasting a lot of my time.
Twice a year, I need to produce a print-out of the ASG/UTM configuration, so that firewall rules can be audited. Pre ASG V8, I had to do this by taking screen shots of the rules/definitions, etc, and pasting them into a Word document: a very time consuming process which could take up to half a day per device (some of our set-ups have 100-150 rules and 500-plus network definitions).
ASG V8 and onwards have the ability to produce printable pages which contain all the information I need; however, these still cause me a problem, because the entries on these pages don't seem to be sorted in a sensible manner. This makes it very difficult to match an item in the printout to the same item in webadmin: with fifty-odd pages of network definitions, for example, it's a complete pain to keep having to skip backwards and forwards in webadmin when I move from one item to the next in the printed report.
So, am I missing something really obvious? Is there a way to sort the items in the printable configuration into name order? It's actually quicker overall for me to use my old 'paste the screenshots' method to produce the print-out, as the final stage of the auditing process - going through the rules and definitions to make any necessary corrections - is a lot faster if the order of items in the printout is the same as the order in webadmin.
I'm actually looking forward to somebody telling me what an idiot I have been!
