Slow speeds between interfaces

Hey all,

I have an Astaro configuration that uses the following

8 interfaces
eth0 - Internal (192.168.10.0/24)
eth1 - External (WAN) 
eth2 - DMZ (192.168.25.0/24)
eth3 - Internal 2 (192.168.5.0/24)
eth4 - External (WAN) 2
rest - unused

So everything seems to work well however,

I have a file server on the Internal network at IP 192.168.10.5
When users copy a large file from the Internal network, they receive great gigabit speeds. My speed test utility shows Write: 275.9 Mbps Read: 493.4 Mbps

When users from the Internal 2 network try to send a file to the server it is incredibly slow. Utility shows Write: 80.1 Mbps Read: 333.2 Mbps

Is there a networking rule I'm missing? I mean all the traffic flows fine, its just incredibly slow.

Any help is muchly appreciated.

    You're right... so it wastes a lot of memory.

    not really.  what i've found in v9 in system with more than two cores is the ips will never get enough work to push the cores above idle.  only if you use something MT like http proxy that loads up the system and increases the clockspeed will ips gain any speed.  my advice is to manually restrict the ips to 2 instances and that's all.  that forces the traffic through fewer tubes and will cause cpu clockspeed ramps which is the main thing ips relies on.  The only other way to increase ips performance is to disable all power management on the server forcing it to run at max clockspeed all the time.  I won't recommend that...so reduce the ips instances to two and see if that helps.  also 2.4 ghz is really the low end for good ips performance.  The fact that you have some many cores is great for 95% of the utm..however because the load is so spread out the cpu's idle most of the time..this murders ips performance..[:)]
