Hex code in dhcp options

Hello ,

i have ubuntu 12.04.01 on vmware as a guest and i have also install utm V9 (vmware version) on vmware esxi as a guest

ubuntu is dmz to astaro on vlan ,on ubuntu i am getting ip address from utm

my ubuntu resolve.conf has nameserver 192.168.3.110 which is my dmz nic ip

i am trying to give fqdn to ubuntu from utm (i am not sure which is correct or no)

when i try to configure option 81 of dhcp it ask for hex code CAN YOU PLEAE TELL ME HOW DO I GET HEX CODE ?

You are sure you need to set 81 FQDN?

Honest not sure ,

I want to host mail and web server (i am able to get web site from other ip) and i am also able to send email ,but i was told by some one that i need to configure fqdn on ubuntu

if you dont mind can i send you pm for configuration /remote ?
