ActiveSync issue, problem with ASG ?

Hi all,

I have about 50 cellphones that connect to an exchange 2007 cas-only server. In the event log I get error ID 1040 which says :

"The average of the most recent [474] heartbeat intervals used by clients is less than or equal to [540].
Make sure that your firewall configuration is set to work correctly with Exchange ActiveSync and Direct Push technology. Specifically, make sure that your firewall is configured so that requests to Exchange ActiveSync do not expire before they have the opportunity to be processed."

Can anyone tell me where can I configure this setting in ASG 8.306?

    we don't have any windows phone, only android.
    Most of the time pushmail to cellphones works but I always get this event (1040).
    My question concentrates on th sentence :" make sure that your firewall is configured so that requests to Exchange ActiveSync do not expire before they have the opportunity to be processed ". Is there any way to configure this in ASG 8.306 ?

    the article I found is for port to be open i thing, anyway you have to find before what port are used by ActiveSync you are intersted

    Guys, this issue was discussed here several years ago.  I can remember if the time is four hours or four days - the latter, I think.  In any case, the fix is in the Exchange server, not the ASG.

    If you think it's in the ASG, look through the various log files, especially Intrusion Prevention and Firewall at the time of such an error.
