How to clear notification emails

Hi,

If notification alerts can't be send immediately, there are stored somewhere . If the external SMTP server is reachable again, the notifications will be delivered.

Is there an easy way to clear email notifications so that you don't get hundred of old alert mails? Disabling the SMTP server is not an option.

postfix flush did not help.
