Monitor harddisk

Hi,

i'm a newbie to astaro at all and tried several snmp stuff with Nagios, works fine.
The only thing is: i'm not able to monitor partitions /, /var/log and /var/storage.

Do you have any hints for me (maybe check_by_ssh or similar?).

    Do you need more than the built-in SNMP alerts listed on the 'Notifications' tab?

    INFO-150  Root partition is filling up - please check 
    INFO-153  Log Disk is filling up - please check 
    INFO-154  Data Disk is filling up - please check

    thank you for your reply.
    We want to check the system actively by remote, so snmp traps are not the solution (due to the fact that we cannot use it in this environment).
    e.g. we are using check_snmp -H  -o  from remote for checking swapspace, ect.
    We cannot find the OIDs for harddisk / partitions, so decided to ask in this forum for it.

    Can you give us a hint?

    it's not something supported as you would have to log in as root..in order to do that you first have to login as loginuser then su - for root and enter the password.  If you wanted to mod the underlying OS you could but that nullifies support.

    I think there is a big misunderstanding! I do not want to login as root and patch things, i want to check several counters via snmp. Nothing else.
    This is possible with CPU, Memory and NICs. But not with Harddisks.
    So my question is: how can i do that?

    No misunderstanding....what you want to monitor is not available in a supported way...

    Jo, if you knew more about the Astaro, you would not invest time on going about things this way.

    I suspect you will want to familiarize yourself with the Executive Report.  You can look at that on a daily basis, and, once you learn what you're looking at and you get a feel for how your system runs, you'll be able to scan the graphs in 20 seconds to see if there's anything you might need to worry about.

    Also, you can configure WebAdmin to allow access via VPN, and remotely access the Dashboard, generate an Executive Report for the previous 24 hours, etc.  I have my iPhone configured to allow me to access my clients in this way when there's an emergency, and I don't otherwise have connectivity.
