Setting up IPv6 / Issues

Hello,

I need help geting IPv6 working.  Followed a few guides but I'm not understanding a few important parts.

-ASG 8.301 running inside a VirtualBox VM
-Motorola SB6120 DOCIS 3.0 Cable Modem
-Windows 7 x64 (Nothing done special for IPv6)
-Turned off OpenDNS and now using ISP DNS servers

-Turned on IPv6 in Interfaces & Routing
-Turned on Tunnel Broker


Do I need the Tunnel ID, if so, any idea what it is?  Tried my username, didn't work.





I can't pass any IPv6 at all.  My ISP's DNS has IPv6 according to the test.
Test your IPv6.

Do I need to install the gogoClient / Freenet6?  I shouldn't as Astaro is doing this right?

Is there anything I need to configure on Freenet6?

Do I need to do anything specific to Windows 7 x64?

    Hi Memphis,

    What you've shown thus far is correct, as far as getting Astaro itself IPv6 enabled.

    One thing to keep in mind with Astaro is that enabling IPv6 & the Tunnel Broker does not automatically mean your clients will see and use the provided IPv6 range. You need to either enable Prefix Advertisements or DHCPv6 in order for the PC's inside your network to use the range. Once setup, the PC's should automatically grab an IPv6 address within the range.

    Of the two, I prefer DHCPv6 as the DHCP Server setup grabs the correct config based on your internal interface whereas Prefix Advertisments you need to configure manually. Also, keep in mind that if your IPv6 range changes on the Tunnel Broker, you'll need to reconfigure DHCPv6.
