cannot connect to PPPOE on Vmware, need solution

Hello,

We are a company that sells Astaro to our customers. Usually we dont have any issues with wan connections on Astaro's.

Today i took a machine installed windows 7 , vmware workstation 8, astaro_8.3.vmware 

Everything was fine except that the pppoe doesnt connect and in logs i see.

pppoe-sh can not connect dsl ac - retry in 5 seconds

Now i tried with different machine same issue exactly and same error.

I installed Astaro directly on both machines with no vmware and PPPOE connect successfully.

Whats wrong with PPPOE connections on vmware. 

Anyone have any ideas how do i solve this ? [:@]

    Simply won't work, I have tried this also.

    If you are serious about VMware then buy an intel NIC and install ESXi.... Then and only then can you get what your expecting.

    I have an ESXi server with 6 intel NICs and running astaro on 4 of them (2 ppoe). This setup performs better than my physical setup (5NICs).

    I feel things just run more reliably when they are virtual ...
