Impossible PING Astaro (FR-EN)

Bonjour à tous

Il m'est impossible de pinger Astaro suite a une manipulation malheureuse.
J'explique : 
Notre Firewall astaro marchais très bien, j'ai tenté une manipulation qui a fait crashé astaro. (ouverture port eth5)

Impossible d'y accéder de l’intérieur : 192.168.1.254 .
J'y accède d'un internet externe et fais un restore : 
mais le problème subsiste !!!

Je ne comprend pas pourquoi. nous avons du réseau local
mais pas d'internet. Impossible de pinger.

Firewall astaro worked very well, I tried a manipulation which made crashed astaro. (Opening port(bearing) eth5)

Impossible to reach it from the inside: 192.168.1.254.
I reach it of an external internet and make a restore: 
But the problem remains!!!

I does not understand why. We have of the local area network but no internet. Impossible to ping at 192.168.1.254.

have you an ideas, because i'm lost. [:O]

    Hi,

    Could you please post more information?

    What exactly did your "manipulation" do or what did you try to do? 
    And did you move any patch cables ?

    Do you get a valid IP when connected to the LAN ( 192.168.1.X ) ?

    What version of Astaro are you using ?

    I want to do test for remote SSL for my company, in this order, 
    I would find internet connection outside.
    (today i do manipulation inside company -> at home i do tests ...)
    objectif is to have Internet before Servers (AD,Storage) to avoid to be in domain.

    i go to "interface & routing" -> "interface" -> new interfaces
    Name : "pour test VPN"
    Type : "Ethernet standard"
    Hardware: "eth5"
    IPv4 adresse : 192.168.1.66 (IP of my PC for test)
    Net mast "255.255.255.0"
    Dafault GW ip : 192.168.1.254

    I don't know if this manipulation is good (i don't know astaro!) i'm devlopper...

    When i validate this configuration, i put cable between Eth5 ->PC 
    And i watch Portal 192.168.1.254:4444 isn't accessible... And all the company can access local Storage but no internet.

    I Restore the configuration by outsite internet https:\vpn.***x.fr:4444
    But the internet connection no to begin...

    My version is 8.202

    Salut, Olivier, and welcome to the User BB!  Autant que j'aimerais avoir un forum en  français, ton anglais est parfaitement compréhensible. [:)]

    What hardware are you using for Astaro?  I'm not certain what you mean by "opening" eth5 - is it perhaps connected to the same, physical Ethernet network as one of the other interfaces?  That's what it appears in your second post.  That won't work, but it shouldn't cause any problems if you delete the new interface definition and disconnect the cable.

    I think that's the problem.

    You gave the astaro the same IP as your PC. That's not allowed. Also: The default gateway seems to be on the same network which sounds wrong to me as well. You should already have a default gateway on another interface (maybe your modem or router which connects to the internet). Then the astaro routes all your internet traffic to this gateway.

    If your internal network is 192.168.1.X and is on eth1 then put something like 192.168.2.1 on your eth5 and 192.168.2.2 on your PC. Then try to connect to https://192.168.2.1:4444

    Can you show some screenshots of your interface config?

    Restore of configuration, before bug.

    it was working before, it's the reason why i do restore.

    It's impossible to ping 192.168.1.254, and i have access to SSL https:\vpn.****.fr (without 4444)
    -> Access denied ... bad password or policies

    i will try your idea Krycek

    the pc you connected to the new interface had the ip of 192.168.1.66 and a default gateway of 192.168.1.254? did you try to put "192.168.1.100" as the default gateway on the pc? that's the interface it is connected to - right? (eth7).

    Hi,

    please do not use a default gateway within the interface configuration of your ASG, when it is not an Internet Connection.

    I try to understand your submits, but i'm not specialist.

    I don't understand why when I restore (because it work since 3 months),
    internet connection not begin ?

    You have 192.168.1.*/24 on both eth7 and lag0. Two errors: duplicate subnet and two physical connections into one Ethernet network.

    I watch in the log "kenerl". 
    I watch "Seg_Fault"
    ->Une erreur de segmentation (en anglais "segmentation fault", en abrégé segfault)

    It's a error allocation memory for application. fortunately i'm devlopper [:)]

    Physicaly interface Eth0 is fall. it present bugs and it not stable
    I send log at astaro.... but before i look again the best pratice in order to know if it's not my fault.

    I success to become stable, i don't touch for this moment
