Network usage report in / out

Just wondering..

In the network usage report / bandwidth usage report, there is two columns "In" and "Out".

Since I got some pretty large numbers in "Out" I "think" I have to see "Out" as traffic incomming from the internet.

But is that correct ?

Outbound should be traffic leaving the interface on the client..

Can someone verify the definition of In and Out here ?

    Thank you for the reply.

    Yes - I am aware of inbound / outbound on the interfaces.
    The reason I ask is that the report doesn't really state if it is listing inbound / outbound or if its just traffic going to and from the client.

    If you take the standpoint that in / out is really from the client, then out = upload and in = download.
    However if you take the standpoint on a interface in the gateway, out could also be leaving the gateway  to the internal network and in comming to the gateway interface from the internal network.

    Anyhow, to keep this less confusing I attached a small screendump from a client report. You will notice a high data transfer on RTMP and I really just want to know if he downloaded that much or uploaded it.
