nameserver listening on all external interfaces

Hi @ll,

I was just surfing the forum and the astaro webconfig to find a way to release some memory (asg 220, 1GB, using 88% ram and 67% swap) when I stumbled over the 'local network connections'.

Is it correct that the astaro is listening for dns requests on all external interfaces? I believe it isn't. I guess I configured something wrong, but cannot find anything setting that allows dns to answer on external IPs.

If it's not ok, how or where can I disable it?

    To keep the programming simple, most of astaro's daemons listen on all interfaces. Then netfilter enables actual access to whichever interface you configure via webadmin and blocks the rest. 

    So, in essence, the daemons only listen to the networks assigned via webadmin and not all as you may have seen in logs etc.
