Astaro Log Management Survey

Hi All

I've received a Log Management beta testers survey which I am more than happy to fill in. However, according to the email sent , all survey participants have the chance to win a free Astaro Management Subscription  valid for 12 months and for 10 devices.

My understanding was that Log Management is a  free service for up to 5 devices (your ASG counts as one). is it free for 12 months subscription as well?

    I took another look at the announcement email for LM, where it was stated about being free for 5 devices.  As I am interpreting the email, LM is free for now as a technical preview, but after final launch it will be a paid service.

    Scott is correct... I believe it will be a paid service at some point.

    Hi.

    Once Log Management is out of the tech preview program and enters GA (general availability), it will be a paid subscription much like all the other subscriptions on the ASG. 

    We will roll out an update to the ASG to support the licensing and improve the ASG interface before this happens.

    Most likely not I am afraid. 
    There is a monthly cost associated with running Log Management (as opposed to running any other ASG subscription) which may be too much to cover for all our home users.

    We are still evaluating this, and I would encourage everyone who would like to have this to contact us directly. We are always interested in power users testing our products - both while in beta and afterwards.

    This is one service that I can't see being a part of the home license.  I would think that there would be too much waste of backend resources by doing so.
