Help with uplink monitoring

we have two lines on is 3mb t and other is cable modem we split the taffic with multipath rules. My problem is looks like cable modem will not respond to pings quick enough from every 30min to hour and so we get paged that line is down but less than a min later it is back up. Iam working with isp but wanted to know if there is a way to set these options to not be so sensitive and also educate me on what excatly happens with this process. I read that it pings every 15 sec. i have tried both the automatic and added ips that are only 1 or 2 hops away. Thanks for any input you can give, (i hate hearing phone in middle of nite)

    I have the same problem with my TimeWarner cable line.

    Sometimes I'll even get notifications that the line is down while I'm surfing and have SSH connections open, so it must be triggering on partial packet loss.

    A sensitivity adjustment would be welcome.

    Please vote for it if you have this issue, mine is a timewarner business class cable modem also 50/5mb, they say they don't drop pings but i think it is a lower priority for pings and probably get droped in qos, although we never hit our 50 megs or even get close.
