Hello. Suddenly, the data disk partition filled up, from 78% to 100%. We have no internet access or email traffic. What can i do to free some space?
Regards
It's possible. As in that thread, the first thing that you should try is a reboot. If that doesn't get it, then you can use the command in that thread to figure out what is using all of the space. From there you can do a rebuild if necessary.
Hello. I reinstalled the system and uploaded the configuration. running the commands above, /var/storage was at 100%. If there is a database corruption and reporting is lost, re-building is meaningless for me. i preferred a clean install. thanks.
something else, after reinstalling the system and uploading the configuration, the data disk partition (/var/storage) is at 62%, after 30 minutes of operation. Is this normal? the virtual disk is 60GB. What kind of data does the data partition keep? Regards.
Oi, this one's a toughie. Have you considered that your hard drive might be failing? As hard drives die, more and more bad sectors pop up which modern hard drives then automatically mark as unusable (thus giving the appearance of a full hard drive). You might run a check for bad sectors in the host OS of the VM.
On the off chance, the hard drive wouldn't happen to be an SSD would it?
While I understand that the Astaro is working, that doesn't explain why your data partition is filling up so quickly. There is no good reason why after only one year you've used up 20GB worth of data. I've had other Astaro boxes running longer than a year and they've never had more than a few GBs. I don't know what's causing your issue but I'd be willing to bet you haven't seen the last of it. I do wish you the best of luck in finding the answer.
