Network Adapter Display Graphs

Can someone be so kind and explain to me what values need to be entered into the 
Displayed max (in) and Displayed max (out) fields on the interfaces. We have 9 different RED sites with varying Bandwidths.

One Site has 8Mbit download and 1Mbit upload bandwidth. How would I define these values?

    Thanks for the clarification Bob!.  The labels "Download" and "Upload" instead of "in" "out" would have been clearer to understand. Traffic can go "in" the WAN interface from the LAN during an upload as well.
