ASG 8.102 & Internal MAC Address blocking

Hello,

I have been running a stable ASG 8 box for the past 5 months and loving it.  However I am not accustomed to performing basic tasks that my previous home gateway/router GUI's had built in.  I would like the ability to a devices access to the internet when required.  In this instance, it would be when one of the kids has misbehaved and lost that privileged.  In my previous devices, I would simply add the MAC address's of both wired and wireless NIC's for the device and block access.

How can do this in ASG?

    Hi,

    Do you know when V8.2 will be available for download?  If it won't be anytime soon, can you point me towards the internet blocking steps once static mapping has been completed?  I do use a number of static IP's for some of their devices already, so adding more isn't a problem.  I don't and can't see going down the path of user authentication.

    The GA release is the end of June according to the Up2Date blog.

    However, I have experienced the frequent delay by the state of development.

    Static mapping only gives specific IP to the DHCP client.
    It doesn't function when static IP is set at the client.
    You should limit for kids the setting of IP at the client.
