Management API

Is there some sort of API that we can tap into for doing routine management stuff like creating/updating user accounts, creating/modifying web filtering rules, etc. without having to login into the web UI? I'd like to create a nice basic web UI that would interface with the Astaro device that end users can log into that will allow them to create/update white/black URL lists, web filtering categories, Application monitoring rules, etc without having to give them access to the "techy" Astaro web interface.

    Since all the settings are stored in a local confd database, does anyone have any good or bad experiences using the command line tool "cc" in making changes like adding/modifying users, web filtering rules, etc..?
