Not sure where to post this. I'm trying to reduce HW count, so I created a VM on my esxi server using the canned ASG 8.102 appliance. Got it working with the config from the standalone ASG and it works fine. Except. When I am watching streaming video at high (relatively speaking) bitrate, periodically, the picture freezes, although the audio is still playing. After 30 seconds or so, the picture advances (jumps) a fair amount, but is still in a frozen state. This does not happen on the standalone hardware. I can play the same show minutes apart and it never does this on the HW and always will after a minute or two on the VM. The host is a 4-core 2.2ghz AMD with 8gb ram. There is only one lightly-loaded ubuntu server, and I gave the ASG VM two cores and 3GB of ram, so resource shortage doesn't seem to be the culprit. The working box is a 2-core 3.2GHZ P4 (yeah, I know it's faster, but there is very little else going on, so 2.2ghz seems like it should be okay.) I don't have the web security stuff running, and disabled the inbound automatic QoS. Possibly this is something I need to tune on the esxi end of things, but I have no idea where to even start looking. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks!
