Hi all, was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this:
A client of ours uses an Astaro Security Gateway v7 in a double-NAT environment with a Cisco Linksys ADSL modem infront of it connecting to the outside world.
The inside interface of the Cisco and outside interface of the Astaro have the addresses 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2 respectively. The inside network of the Astaro is 172.16.50.0/24 and has DHCP running serving the clients in the office.
My problem is this:
If I enable the WiFi functionality on the Cisco Linksys router, the wireless client is picking up an IP address from the Astaro's DHCP server.
How are the DHCP requests from the wireless client getting from the outside network through to the inside network of the Astaro (if I check the Astaro's logs it shows that the DHCP requests are coming in to the inside interface of the Astaro)?
Can I disable all broadcasts coming into the Astaro's external interface?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
