Using a 220 as a switch using bridging?

We upgraded some old 220's to new units, then moved the old units to a couple of users homes to act as firewalls.  The 220's have 8 ethernet ports but we are only using 2 of them - LAN and WAN.  I was wondering if we bridged the remaining unused ports, would they act like a switch where we could plug in a couple of PC's and not have to use a separate switch?  I might have to use a jumper cable between the LAN port and br0.

I would just try this, but the 220's are currently in use.

    Jim, if I understand correctly, I think you just want to bridge all of the remaining ports with the LAN port.  I don't think the ASG220 would like it if you connected two ports via a cable.

    Ok.  I pretty well came to that conclusion after I posted the question - no jumper.  If I bridge the unused ethernet ports to the LAN port, then would it basically act like a switch?  So then I could plug in the users PC's directly to the 220 without the need for an external switch?
