IP-in-IP or GRE Tunnel

Hello, 

my ISP offers me an Option for using IPv6. He gave me an fix IPv4 Adress for my PPoE Login. Also he gave me an IP-Adress to configure my tunnel to it. 

My problem is the Tunnel Type: The Provider says, i can´t use the 6to4 Tunnel in the Astaro, he said i have two options: 

I need an IIPv6 in IPv4 Tunnel, or a GRE-Tunnel to make it functionaly. 

I can´t finde both options on my ASG 8, anyone an Idea for it ? How to cinfigure a tunel under the written case here ?

    Hello, 

    is there nobody who can help me ? Maybe there was not enough precision by me. So, 2nd try..;-) 

    I have to establish an GRE-Tunnel to an Ip-Adress from my ISP. Over this Tunnel, my IPv6 Pakets will be transported over Ipv4. My problem is, where and how to establisch this GRE-Tunnel ?

    Hi
    try the tunnel broker with the anonymous user and put your ISP IPv6 gateway address in the advanced server address.

    Hell RFCat-vk, 

    thank you, but it don´t work. To make it more transparent, i will translate the Mail from my ISP. There ist the TODO defined: 

    1.) Establish a GRE-Tunnel from your Router to this IP Adress: 82.145.8.2
    2.) Use this Transfer Network on the Tunnel: 2001:***x:xx:x:x::20/124

    2001:***x:xx:x:x::21 Is the Demacration point of the ISP
    2001:***x:xx:x:x::22 Is the Demacration point on the customer (my) side

    and

    2001:***x:***x::/48 will be routed to the customer (me) on the IP:  2001:1438:10:0:1::22

    Configure on the Tunnel the Transfer Net IP and the Default Route on the :21, after that test with a Ping6

    Ok...is this possible to establisg on an Astaro ASG8, where and how ?

    Hi eko1408,

    there is no way to configure IPv6 in IPv4 or GRE on the ASG.
    However you could try 6to4, which is in fact IPv6 in IPv4.

    Cou can try the following: Enable 6to4 on your WAN interface
    and enter the IP address from your ISP as Advanced>>Server Address (e.g. 82.145.8.2).

    Now you can configure your IPv6 address range on your local interfaces.
    The ASG itself will use the 6to4 address (2002:IPv4::1/48) for outgoing IPv6 traffic,
    but your clients will use the addresses configured on your local interfaces.

    Depending if your ISP supports the 6to4 packets, the ASG itself will or will not have IPv6 connectivity...
