[8.101] Filter function

Hello,
I want to know how the "Filter" that can be found when running Open live log "or any other log.
For entering an IP address or another does not.

    En français.
    OK quand on clique sur les log en temps reel comme pour le filtrage de packer. on a un rectangle de saisi, ou il est écrit Filter juste avant.
    Je voulais savoir comment fonctionne cette fonction.
    Car quand je rentre une adresse IP par exemple rien ne se passe.

    OK, I get it now.  The filter applies only to new packets received.  If I enter "192.168.10.1" into the Filter box, the lines already listed remain on the screen, but only lines with "192.168.10.1" in them will be added to the display.  If I then blank the Filter box, all new lines will appear, but the onles that were filtered out before won't appear.  If I accidentally put something like "492.168.10.1" into the filter box, no new lines will qualify, so the display won't change.
