Uplink balancing - Monitoring

Hello,

i have a Question regarding the Uplink balancing.
I use two dls connections in failover configuration.
As far as i know from searching the forum the primary connection is checked by an icmp request if its still online.

Today my primary connection had problems with the incoming bandwith (
