[INFO-111] Syslog server not running - restarted - happening every hour.

Hi;

  For the last week and a bit my Astaro has been emailing me this at least every hour.

              [INFO-111] Syslog server not running - restarted

  Today I logged in and noticed that all the reporting sections are not showing
  anything for the last week and a bit.

  Also the Executive report is showing nothing for the Network, Web, Mail, IM/P2P
  Security sections. The graphs have are showing no data.

  I know I could disable the [INFO-111} email , but it's actually doing what it's suppose
  to do, which is alert me when there is a problem.

  Oh Yea, this is a Home User Licence, so it isn't critical,

I'm seeing lots of people looking at this but no-one offering any advice.
I know it's not critical, but as a result the reporting function is not showing any valid data.
Any advice, suggestions, help, would be muchly appreciated.

Hi trevor, troubleshooting crashed daemons is a difficult process. How is your cpu and memory usage. In your case since its a home usage scenario, I would just make a backup and rebuild my firewall again. It will take you around 15 minutes if you have an ISO sitting around.

Sorry not a solution to your problem but a fresh install is better than a firewall with broken reporting capabilities.
