Astaro security gateway 8

I installed the astaro security gateway 8 in dell optiplex 760 desktop and it is working fine.i can able to configure the internal network and can able to access it.Where as for the external network we are using Dsl line. For that the isp is provided a Dsl modem.The line is comming with an RJ11 jack and it is connected to the modem.From the ethernet interface i am connecting to ASg Software external interface and it is not working.Kindly provide me how can i configure the external internal using this dsl modem to ASG.
