Searching through log file

Hi there,

Onced more I tried to find log entries using ASGs search option. I choosed my log, I set the time and I entered my search string like this:

srcip="a.b.c.d"

But nothing happens. I tried to escape the dots like in a regular expression \. but nothing to.

How do I search correctly? Exporting to Excel and using filters is no ggod solution....

    Steffen, it's plain text.  I've never tried a regex.  For example, the following works when searching the packet filter log:

    srcip="203.133.17.57"

    We're using v7.504... I will go up to 7.507 as soon as possible. I'm hoping there will be a softrelease for v8 too.

    The problem is depending on Firefox's website settings and handling of popups. I enabled FFs popup blocker and when I close FF I delete all from the session.

    When an archived log file is blocked by the popup blocker I enable the popup and the content was shown. It doesn't work if I want to search through the log file. It seems the script will be interrupted and sets a flag like "I can't search". If I try to search again with popups enabled the script founds the flag and quits...

    Now I configured my FF for working with the WebAdmin correctly and yes, searching works like expected.
