Monitoring Services

Is there anything thing already in Astaro that will monitor if a server or router is up? For example: automatically ping an IP address at a set interval and send out a notification if the IP is down. I used Webadmin on my old Squid box and it came with a package that you could setup for monitoring services by ping. It was very simple but effective.

    Hi, the uplink failover system will ping an IP, normally to check if your internet connection is up, and will send or queue an email if ping fails.
    You might be able to use that if you only need to monitor a single IP and don't need the uplink monitored.

    Otherwise, look into setting up a real NMS, such as ZenOSS, Zabbix, Nagios, ...
