Bug? and Is it possible

First, the bug.
v.7.506 & v8.000
I have an external SMTP server activated for my notifications (default ports and the like don't work with my ISP). Every time I have to change a setting in any of the notifications tabs, I have to erase the password for my external SMTP server (in the advanced tab) and re-key it in. If I don't do this I get no notifications even if I reboot the ASG. Someone else may have come up with this, but I did a cursory search and didn't find anything.

Now, the Is it possible.
I use GMail to aggregate all the various notifications my gateways produce. Unfortunately, GMail when they are grouping items into conversations ignores any information that are in brackets. So for my different gateways, all of the particular errors all show up in the same conversation. So, my question is, is it possible to change the subject to remove the brackets around the device name and notification type?
