WAN Port Link erroneously listed as 'Down'

I notice that my Astaro dashboard displays the WAN link as 'Down':

Could this be because I'm connecting to my ADSL router via an 'Ethernet Standard' connection rather than a PPP or other connection which requires a 'login' / secondary connection layer?

Whats the Status in Network --> Interface?

i had the sam issue when I was using ASG in a Hyper-V environment.
