Logging/showing/mailing monthly ip traffic daily

Hello everbody,

I switched over from IPCop to the ASG home edition a few weeks ago. 

I'm living in a very secluded region very only the big pink giant of the German ISP's offers a ADSL connection line. But, I'm using the pink one as carrier only and connect to the internet by another ISP which gave me a static IP address for my gate and a /29 subnet with official IP addresses for my machines too.

Well, this construction isn't very cheap but works fine for me over years now. The only handicap is that it doesn't included a flat rate.

Therefor I installed a tool in my old IPCop called net-traffic. It displayed me how much traffic I have had during the current month and sent me a mail if a predefined threshold is crossed.

So my questions are if I can configure the WedAdmin GUI in a way it shows up my monthly generated IP traffic (going over the external interface) and/or if it's possible to define threshold(s) on which it sends mails.

Well, in the daily report which is sent to me by mail the IP traffic is mentioned in the first line as "Traffic Processed". I.e. the related sum must be computed inside the ASG at least once a day.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

    I found a way to get the information I want. It's a little bit inconvenient but it works.

    I'll describe what to do in short:

    Select 

     => Reporting => Network Usage => Accounting

    Select 'Top Clients'

    Select 'Custsom', fill the 'from:'  and 'to:' fields with the 
    dates of interest

    Click the 'Update'-botton.

    In my case the ip-address of my external interface is listed in the first line. The related traffic shows up in field 'Total'.
