Hi there.
I have following problem: Two wan links to internet. Two (IP) ethernet links to the switch. Same network on both ethernet links.
My client wants to balance the gateway by himself on the clients, not on the Astaro. He cannot understand reasons, vlans, nothing. That's why he prefered to sacrify an ethernet link on a 220 to the switch.
IPs of the clients are all over the range of the lan. Cannot build groups definitions based on anything.
Also, IT HAS TO BE DONE THIS WAY. Don't suggest anything else, please, unless you know a GOOD guide to do it with policy routing, nat and masquerading.
I need to know if I am missing something or if this is not going to work:
Let me ask you if this should work:
Network->Interfaces->UplinkBalancing-> ENABLE
Type: Multipath-> Add WAN1 -> Add WAN2
Disable Automatic Monitoring-> Apply
Network->Interfaces->Multipath Rules->New Multipath Rule
Name: Rule1
Position:
Source: Internal1
Service: Any
Destination: Any
Itf Persistence: By Interface
Bind Interface: WAN1
Network->Interfaces->Multipath Rules->New Multipath Rule
Name: Rule2
Position:
Source: Internal2
Service: Any
Destination: Any
Itf Persistence: By Interface
Bind Interface: WAN2
Enable both rules. After that, two clients, based on their gateways should have two differents ip on the web, right?
With Policy routing I cannot find a guide, just the usual: "go read over there" I am not fluent in Astaro.
Thank you
