Hatteras Internet - Use Astaro as a Router?

Hello,

We just brought in a Ethernet over copper "Business Ethernet" 10/10Mbps internet connection, and the connection is driven by a Hatteras box that I think is acting like a bridge.

Is is possible to use Astaro as my router for this connection, or do I need to buy one?

They gave me the WAN IP info, and a block of LAN ip's to use.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

  • Hi, yes Astaro can do static routing; it should work fine.

How many IPs do you have? You may want to setup a transfer network; otherwise you can add IPs to the external interface and use DNATs.
