today I finally got my VDSL 50 connection from the German Telekom. I have a Speedport W920V connected to the VDSL line. When I connect my laptop directly to the router, I get speeds of 45-50MBit (tried different tests, results very consistent). Then I connected my ASL 7.503 running on a Dell machine to the router (DHCP, not PPPOE on the ASG) and again I get consistent results - but only at 16MBit. Upload, however, is fine! Whatever I tried, results were always the same. Here's what I did:
- Turned autonegotiation off
- changed NIC
- used a totally different machine (ASG 220)
- IPS on/off
- QoS off
- MTU 1500 or 1492
- HTTP proxy on/off (caching gives me 30MBit, but that's cheating!)
Any ideas?
