Hi,
i'm having a small issue with my Astaro setup. I have multipath setup with both a DSL (PPPOE) and a cable modem setup.
When the DSL connection goes up or down I properly get notifications but when the Cable connection goes down no notifications are sent until the cable comes back up.
This is strange to me, as the external email server is definetly connectable from either uplink, and I am connected via outlook to it while at the same time astaro is reporting-
INFO: == sending notfication via mail!
2010:02:26-10:35:21 cellophaneFW notifier[2997]: WARN: - could not send notification: SMTP Failed to connect to mail server: No route to host
I don't have any static routes or anything like that setup and there is a multipath rule setup that all SMTP traffic should be going out the DSL (working) connection (I have also tried disabling this rule).
I've checked the packet filter logs and there is nothing there as well. All the connectivity tests on the astaro gateway work fine. I just don't understand why the astaro device can not send email out the working interface.
I have also tried setting the interface to use in the SMTP server definition but this doesn't appear to make a difference.
Does anyone have any advise on where to look next?
Also on a possibly related note, the "daily executive report" always shows 0 Uplink failovers when I know uplinks have gone down. Does this only report on true "failover" load balancing, I would have expected to see dropouts regardless of whether in multipath or failover mode.
Thanks for any assistance.
