dns host unresolved, using astaro as DHCP

I setup ASG as dhcp server which works well.  If I go to DHCP->LEASE TABLE, I can see that the hosts are registered in the DHCP table.  However, if I define a DNS HOST in DEFINITIONS->NETWORKS, it will never resolve.  Is there something extra I must setup for it to resolve its own DNS hosts from its own DHCP server?

  • that's why.  There's no central DNS repository for things to resolve to.  You'll need to setup some kind of dns server for everything to resolve to if your want addressing by FQDN to work.
