dns host unresolved, using astaro as DHCP

I setup ASG as dhcp server which works well.  If I go to DHCP->LEASE TABLE, I can see that the hosts are registered in the DHCP table.  However, if I define a DNS HOST in DEFINITIONS->NETWORKS, it will never resolve.  Is there something extra I must setup for it to resolve its own DNS hosts from its own DHCP server?

    Hi, Erich, welcome to Astaro!

    The DHCP server is not a DNS; all it does is hand out settings (IP address, name server addresses, etc.) when a device first comes on on the network and broadcasts a DHCP request.  It sounds like you need to configure the Astaro DNS Proxy.  Do you have an internal server that's providing DNS and Active Directory services?  What DNS Host are you trying to define?

    I do not have an internal DNS server, or active directory.  I have static entries assigned to my servers, and use the DHCP for the workstations.

    The DNS hosts are a few windows XP workstations (in vmware).  

    Also (I'm not sure if this matters)- I setup the domain suffix in dhcp but for some reason it doesnt show up in "primary dns sufffix" in IPCONFIG /ALL.  I can PING hosts from other workstations, but dont get a response when I do PING hostname.cybertron.local
