howto:use static route_policy route

Hi, 

Firstly in static routes, the routing target is exclusively determined by the packet’s destination address.
and in policy routes, however, it is possible to make routing decisions based on the source interface, source address, service, or destination address.


Static Routes:
Basically Static routes are used for one to one mapping , here the destination network  should be known , i.e you must have the destination network address in order to create a static route between your network and the destination network.

So u can use it to map source to a destination network , mostly used in small to medium organizations , as u know the networks directly connected to your network/system are added into the routing table automatically but static routes come into action when networks are not direclty connected , where there is an additional router which is to be accessed via a specific network.


Policy Routes
Policy-based routing allows for forwarding or routing of data packets according to your own policies.
own custom policies such as a particular route should be matched in a particular order only, based on position numbers , a particular service definition that matches the data packet to be routed.

Routes are matched in ascending order.
Once a route has matched, routes with a higher number will not be
evaluated anymore.

So based on your requirement u can use these two Routings

Note – You do not need to set additional routes for networks attached to the
firewall’s interfaces, as well as default routes. The system inserts these routes
automatically.
