Cannot log in to WebAdmin

So the saga of a supported Astaro box continues -

I cannot log in to WebAdmin - just get multiple retries and then timeout message.

Email messages say I have logged in -

Successful WebAdmin login from **.**.**.** at 2009:12:10-13:37:52 with username admin.

I can SSL VPN remotely to other PC's on the same network no problem, so can't be a traffic problem.

Also the problem with the WebAdmin log never showing past logins is a concern.

All assistance much appreciated.

    Do you past the password into the password field from somewhere (PW-Manager)?

    I had such a problem on ACC. When pasting with Ctrl+V, it is logged in and immediately logged out again. Only works when i use right click and select paste. But that's because Ctrl+V is used to list users/groups by default (whyever that is used on the login screen...)

    Maybe also a problem on ASG sometimes (never had that myself on a ASG)

    No I enter the password manually.

    Do you have SSH access to the box (loginuser/root password set) or at least physical access?

    Hi mate -

    The Astaro box is located at a remote site - so no direct unless I travel there. I did set up SSH Shell access - but never tested - tried Putty but no go - I might not have the correct configuration set for Shell access.

    Does SSH not connect to the Astaro, or does the login fail?
    Maybe not allowed from your IP in first case, or loginuser not set in second case.

    Can you try to connect to the Astaro by SSH from the internal LAN on the remote site somehow?

    Hi, make sure you're trying to login as 'loginuser' when using SSH.

    No go on SSH Shell login - getting Timout message.

    Getting a tech support person on site to reset the Astaro - 

    Should I be looking for an error log to try to isolate the problem?

    So now have SSH Shell login working. But all I can do really is shutdown -r now which gets me a WedAdmin login for a few hours until I then cannot get back in through WebAdmin.
    Any ideas as to what I should be looking for in the Shell access that may point to a problem.
