DynDNS stopped working

All of the sudden my dyndns service has stopped working:

Disable/Enable DynDNS or deleting/adding the DynDNS account didn't worked, even when I restart the whole box (ASG220) it doesn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It looks like you might have an issue with name resolution:
    Bad hostname 'checkip.dyndns.org'

    In any case, each time there's a failure, there's a successful IP update shortly thereafter, so DynDNS appears to be working correctly.

    If you're concerned about this though, look in the packet filter log at the same time as one of the problems to see if a DNS response (port 53) from the Astaro's DNS forewarder is being blocked.  If so, then look in the IPS log to find the SID you need to disable.

    As you can see, it doesn't work for almost three weeks now, since 13.11.
    It just stopped and I didn't get any errors in the logs.
    So I don't think that this has anything to do with DNS.

    The Astaro only should update DynDNS when it gets a new IP - have you checked to see if you still have the latest IP?  If it starts updating needlessly, DynDNS.org will shut down your account.

    I have an account which disconnects every 24 hours and gets a new ip (T-Online).

    So it did the last night... it disconnects at 6:00, my astaro reconnected, but the new IP hasn't been updated at dyndns. And still NO error messages in the log.

    In spite of te fact my cable modem at home has been disconnected/reconnected several times, my IP hasn't changed and DynDNS has not been updated.

    Yes, because you have a cable modem. But I have a normal DSL Line with a dynamic IP. My IP HAS changed, but Astaro did not update the dyndns account. I had to update it manually (login to dyndns and change it by hand)

    Hi, this isn't a fix but a workaround:

    You could disable dyndns, copy the config, and cron it to run every day or every hour.
