Backup/Restore question

Hey all, quick question. If I move Astaro to a machine with different hardware and restore the backup from the original machine, will that try and restore the NIC hardware config as well? I'm moving to new hardware and it has different NIC's and I don't want to have to rebuild all my filter/nat lists by hand if I don't have to. But I'm afraid if it restores the NIC info as well I wont be able to gain access to the box again and will have to reinstall everything. Anyone know exactly what the backup contains? TIA to all.

    Hi, did you disable the NIC in webadmin BEFORE making the backup?

    All, thanks for suggestions but those did not work. I put the gigabit card back in. The interfaces tab showed both the 3com's and the hardware tab showed all 3 cards (gigabit in dash board as unused on eth0). I went into "edit" in the 3com card listed as internal and changed the "hardware" section to reflect the gigabit (eth0) card and saved it. I then shutdown the system and pulled the gigabit card. Rebooted and went into admin and noticed only the two 3coms listed under dashboard and not the gigabit card (unused). Went into the interfaces saw the 3coms with "internal" set at eth0 and now the "wan" card set to eth1 (from eth2 originaly). Went into "hardware" and only noticed the two 3coms, so all is well. I did not have to "delete" any card but only change the properties from within (edit) to reflect another. Dumb how this process works, but it should have been easier wih just a delete and then remove. Oh well, things are well and if others should have issues then maybe this will help!
