NTP time wrong, DNS not working for ntp

Hi, the clock on my Astaro 7.3x firewall is off by 45 seconds...

The only entry in the logs matching 'grep -i ntp' is:
named.log:2009:11:13-00:35:43 (none) named[3485]: too many timeouts resolving 'pool.ntp.org/A' (in 'pool.ntp.org'?): disabling EDNS

Does anyone know what would cause that error?

ntpdate -q pool.ntp.org
works from the firewall.
