Hello
Quite new to Astaro, but got my ASG up and running quite quickly as it's really amazing !
One problem still hurts me though :
I have only ONE public IP, but I run several different websites on different domain names hosted on internal servers. Now to my question: Do I really have to route my internal users to the internal IP of these servers for browsing the said websites ?
With a previous router, I didn't have to bother about setting up internal DNS for these hosted domains, as I was also able to access the websites by their public address, also from my inside LAN. Is it possible to allow this in ASG ? I tried different manners, but the ASG seems not wanting to route my demand from the LAN on my public IP and then back to the internal server IP by DNAT.
I ask this because of two things :
1. I would love not having to set up DNS for the many domains I'm going to manage.
2. Push-Mail on our iPhones or WinMobiles works best when a given URL (say push.mydomain.com) always resolves to the same IP (external) and not internal when the user is connected to the corporate Wifi.
I believe I miss something very basic here, but didn't succeed in it. To make it simple, I have a server with internal IP "A", visible from the outer world through IP "B" thanks to DNAT. What I would like to set up is accessing this server by IP "B" whether I am on my LAN or anywhere else on the internet.
Forgot to mention, access to the server actually works internally with ip "A" and from outside with IP "B" without problem.
Would appreciate any help ! Please tell me I missed something obvious. Or am I really too complicated in what I want to get done ? ;-)
Thanks in advance !
