Network Usage Reporting

ASG220 FW 7.402

What does a person have to do to monitor/report on usage In/Out of a particular interface?  You know, track traffic In/Out of eth1, by server or by port?

Network traffic reporting has its uses, I'm sure, but wouldn't you think there'd be a demand for the ability to track usage by interface (in our case, to find out which of our systems is generating all of this internet traffic).

Thanks.

  • The built-in reporting is pretty comprehensive.  If you need real-time stats, on 7.4xx you will have to log onto the shell and run iftop ... on Version 7.500, they added real-time monitoring to the Webadmin... just click on the interface in the dashboard and a pop-up windows will show you the real-time traffic traversing that interface.
