Excessive /var/storage use

Hi,

We don't use the SMTP facility at the moment. yet under /var/storage/chroot-smtp it is using 945mb!

This is under proc, I don't want to just delte it....but can I? Like I say we are not using SMTP

    proc is a virtual filesystem which will always contain a memory-map file equal to the size of your RAM.
    It's not real.

    if you're using 'du', try the -x option.

    Have you been using ASG for a long time? Perhaps there are also thousands of messages in your spool as the asg is trying to send out notifications, backup files, or other information to an undeliverable address etc. If you have notifications enabled for things like IPS as well, if the admin mail isnt "real" over time you could get quite a backlog in there...something you might want to check. Also, support would be happy to have a look for you...
