ASG Home with external DSL Modem

Hi all

my external dsl modem is set to bridge mode instead of PPPoE. i want ASG to do the login to my ISP while using build-in PPPoE functionality.

how do i need to configure the two NICs from ASG?
do they need to be in the same subnet?

    ..if you mean the webadmin:  yes (Webadmin->Security). 

    For shell access (ssh):  I do not know any way to do this. But I would prefer to open ssh just for the time you have to use it and/or restrict access just for trusted hosts/networks.
