ASL 7 and Cisco Etherchannel

Hi All,

is the LinkAggregation Feature compatible with Cisco Etherchannel?
If not, which configuration we need to connect both Units for NIC-Teaming?

Our Goal is a 4Port LinkAggregation between the ASL7 and a Cisco 3750G Switch.

Thanks in advance.

Clemens

  • Isn't "Etherchannel" just Cisco's marketing-speak for NIC-Teaming? Link Aggregation is the same thing, so I don't understand why it wouldn't work.

    Cheers - Bob
  • Cisco's Etherchannel is proprietary to Cisco kit. I think that LAgP is Cisco's implementation of the standard 802.3ad link aggregation / nic teaming. You can change the aggregation protocol when you create your aggregated interface on your Catalyst. Mind you, I haven't pulled it off myself.
